Palm Pre Plus & Pixi Plus: “Smart Enough For (This) Mom?”
Two Mindfulness Apps To Help You Focus
I am slightly addicted to apps and am constantly amazed by how good some of them are. Recently I have started looking for apps that help my productivity and focus. After all, if I’m going to tap on my iPhone incessantly I might as well be useful while I’m at it.
Since I keep hearing about vision boards and actualizing one’s success I decided to look for a vision board app. I found one from Happy Tapper that I enjoy greatly. It allows you to create a vision board with your own text and images and they also give you wonderfully creative, positive mantras that you can add to your vision board from artist Valentina. You can also password protect your vision board which I think is a great feature. My daughters use my iPod Touch all the time and I like to keep my aspirations and innermost desires to myself. It keeps them pure, essentially. At least in my mind.
I also recommend Oceanmedia House’s Essential Meditations Deck from Chronicle Books. In this app you can scroll through fifty mindfulness exercises that help you focus your mind from how to battle resentment to regaining clarity. Each card also has beautiful artwork. One of the features I love best is you can email the card to friends to share your exercise for the day.
Here's to mindfulness!
