Lizzie is SO right. I think vlogging in combination with a gret blog adds a depth and tru personality to your site...I adore Miss Lizzie B!
Video Frees Me
By Jendi
The fear creeps up and tightens my throat. I can feel it right now.
So many things I want to say to people, but have I chosen the right words?
How do my words come across on Twitter or in email?
Do they understand what I want to say?
Can they tell that I'm smiling at them?
What if they misinterpret my words?
Words are bloggers' tools. Some people handle tools better than others. One simple word can mean many different things - in and out of context. I don't want to appear like a doofus or a snob. I don't want to hurt people's feelings, but I don't want to be without personality.
That's why I turn to video. I can show my smile and people can hear the inflections in my voice, or the sarcasm. I don't have to think how to describe everything because I can show them. They can see if I wink without me typing a semi-colon. It's all there in technicolor.
Some of my favorite vloggers say the same thing. They love the online community and building a
business, but they're not great writers. Video builds their connection and community. Video frees them from the frustration of finding just the right
word.
If you are interested in vlogging - go for it! Don't let how you look stop you from vlogging because it just may free you, too.

Very true Jendi.
Video gives us the chance to really get to know each other very quickly.
I feel like I've known you my entire life and like I see you every day... and yet we've never actually met.
It is sad that so many women resist video for various reasons. We created http://www.sayitfacetoface.com to try to make stepping into vlogging even easier and provide a simple way to create video conversations.
Thank you so much for your involvement in http://www.sayitfacetoface.com!

Jendi -- I love your message! I was worried about vlogging â I always have felt like I don't look good on camera â but you inspired me, and now I'm hooked! I think readers do like to connect with the person behind the words, and with the technology that lets you record in a click, I wholeheartedly echo your "give it a try" sentiment. Thanks for encouraging me!

Vlogging allows moms to get information in a way unlike ever before. Whether it's a product review, a how-to video or rant about a mom's harried day vlogging captures it all in a way that is as close to "real life" as you can get. Vlogging captures a person's facial expression, tone of voice and body language - it's all there for us to see and hear."
